Prince Saud bin Jalawi Sponsors the Third Graduation Ceremony for Students of Jeddah International College
His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, sponsored the third graduation ceremony for students of Jeddah International College on the evening of Wednesday, May 8, 2024 (29/10/1445H). The event was held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah. Upon his arrival, His Highness was welcomed by the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Saleh bin Jameel Malaika, and the Dean of Jeddah International College, Dr. Tariq bin Fouad Hamadi. The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. His Highness and the attendees then watched a video presentation about the college, followed by the procession of graduates from the master's and bachelor's programs.
In his speech, Chairman of the Board Dr. Saleh Malaika expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Prince Saud bin Jalawi for sponsoring the graduation ceremony for the students of Jeddah International College this year. He commended His Highness's boundless generosity towards the college and its students, congratulated the graduates, and wished them success in their future endeavors. Dr. Saleh emphasized that this occasion marks a significant milestone in the success and progress of Jeddah International College. He also praised the support that private higher education receives from the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God protect him – and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect him – and from the Ministry of Education, aligning with the realization of our beloved kingdom's vision.
For his part, the Dean of the College, Dr. Tariq Hamadi, congratulated the graduates and their parents, wishing them success and prosperity in their professional careers and their journey to serve their country in various scientific fields. His Highness Prince Saud bin Jalawi's kind patronage and his commitment to preparing and equipping the nation's youth with knowledge were highlighted. Dr. Hamadi noted that the number of Jeddah International College graduates for the academic year 2023-2024 reached 470 graduates, including 123 from the third cohort of the master's program and 347 from the seventh cohort of the bachelor's program.
Following this, graduate student Maha Tamassani delivered a speech on behalf of the master's students, and student Yasser Issa spoke on behalf of the bachelor's students. They expressed their joy at graduating, their determination to serve their country in various fields, and their gratitude for His Highness's patronage and the efforts of the faculty and parents. At the conclusion of the ceremony, His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi honored the top-performing students who received first-class honors, and commemorative photos were taken.
